Account-Linked Cards Settings Overview

You can manage every aspect of your Loop Account-Linked Cards from the Cards page in your dashboard. From here, you can view details, freeze or unfreeze a card, adjust spending controls, share card access, and monitor card activity — all in one place.

Overview

All your Loop Cards — both Account-Linked Cards and Credit Cards — are visible on the Cards page in your Loop account.

Click View Card next to any card to open its details. This view provides a full breakdown of card information, settings, and management tools.

Below is a guide to each section of the Card Details page.

1. Card Nickname

You can rename a card anytime to help organize your workspace.

Label cards by team member, department, or intended use (for example, “Ad Spend” or “Operations”).

Note: Changing a nickname only affects how the card appears inside Loop — it doesn’t change the name printed on the physical card.

2. Cardholder Name

This is the name that should be used at checkout when making a purchase.

Because this is a corporate Visa, the business name is also attached to the card and may appear on merchant receipts or checkout forms.

3. Card Details

Click Show Card Details to reveal the Card Number, CVC, and expiry date.

For security, only you and authorized users who have been granted access can view these details.

4. Saved Addresses

The default address for your card is your main business address.

You can link additional Canadian or U.S. addresses to use at merchant checkouts.

⚠️ Loop does not provide a U.S. address. If you need one for certain U.S.-only e-commerce sites, you can use a third-party virtual mailing address service.

5. Freeze Setting

If you need to temporarily disable a card, click Freeze Card.

This stops all new transactions from being processed until the card is unfrozen.

You can unfreeze it anytime by returning to this setting.

Use Freeze Card if you suspect unauthorized activity or want to temporarily pause spending.

6. Lost or Stolen Reporting

If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, click Report Lost or Stolen to deactivate it immediately.

You’ll be asked to confirm a few details, and the card will be permanently deactivated.

This action cannot be undone. Once reported, a replacement card must be issued.

7. Card Status and Type

Each Loop Card is labeled with its type and status:

  • Virtual cards appear in a light green gradient.

  • Physical cards appear in a darker green design.

Statuses include:

  • Active — the card is active and ready for use.

  • Frozen — the card has been temporarily paused.

  • Suspended — the card has been deactivated.

8. Card Withdrawal Setup

When creating a card, you can choose its funding setup:

  • Loop Account-Linked Card: Purchases are withdrawn directly from your Operating and Currency Account balances.

  • Loop Credit Card: Purchases are charged to your approved credit limit (if you have one).

If your business doesn’t yet have a credit limit, you can still enjoy all Loop Card features with an Account-Linked Card.

9. Card Spending Limits

Admins can set spending limits for each card to control daily, weekly, or monthly spend.

Cardholders can view their limits and amount spent but cannot change them.

To learn more about setting limits, see: Managing Card Spending Limits

10. Custom Spend Settings

Admins can restrict spending by merchant category or currency.

This lets you block certain types of transactions (e.g., gambling or personal spending) or currencies that your business doesn’t use.

To learn more about Custom Spend Settings, see: Custom Spend Controls

11. Share Card with a Team Member

If you’d like to share card details (like number, CVC, and expiry) with another user:

  1. Click Share Card with Team Member.

  2. Select a team member from your workspace.

This gives them view-only access to the card details — without making them a cardholder.

If the team member doesn’t appear in the list, go to Account Settings → Team and add them as a user.

All admins automatically have visibility into all cards.

  • Real-time visibility: Updates (freezes, spending, limits) apply instantly across your dashboard.

  • Full control: Adjust card names, spending limits, or access at any time.
