Who can apply for a Loop Account?

Loop Accounts are available to registered Canadian businesses. Any authorized signatory of the business can apply. We currently support Corporations, Partnerships, and Registered Charities, with plans to expand internationally in the future.

Overview

Loop is designed for Canadian businesses looking for modern financial tools. To ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, we can only open Accounts for organizations that are legally registered in Canada.

If you’re an authorized signatory of your business can apply on behalf of your organization.

Who Can Apply

You can apply for a Loop Account if:

  1. Your business is registered in Canada, either federally or provincially.

  2. You’re an authorized signatory — someone who has legal authority to act on behalf of the business.

  3. Your business type is one of the following:

    • Corporation

    • Partnership

    • Registered Charity

    • Sole Proprietorships

At this time, Loop cannot open Accounts for unregistered businesses.

FAQs

Can multiple people from my business apply?

Yes, any authorized signatory can apply, but each Account is opened under the registered business.

Can a non-profit apply?

Yes, if it is a registered charity recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Can I apply for Loop if I am in another country?
Yes, as long as you're a registered Canadian business, you can apply for Loop no matter where you are located.

Can I apply for Loop if I am not Canadian?
The requirement is that the business has to have at least one director who is a Canadian resident or citizen.
